Wilma Fisher Obituary

W. Faye Fisher, 90, passed away on Wednesday, April 6,2022. She was born in Akron, Ohio on July 23, 1931. Greeting her in Heaven are her parents Charles and Hazel Gum; her loving husband, Bob G. Fisher of 48 years; her sons Richard and Gary Fisher; sister, Bette (Dave) Gibbs; Sister-in-law Bernadine (Don) Willis; aunt Evelyn Kinnan and uncle Bill Kinnan; and her significant other of 13 years, Bill German.
Faye lived her life enjoying her family and was happy attending parties celebrating friends and family. She was a graduate of Kenmore High School. She was a life-long member to Yusef Khan Grotto #24, and Daughters of Mokanna. She bowled for several years at Colonial Lanes and was the Women's League Secretary. She helped organize Firestone Park Pee Wee Rams.
She was an avid card player, loved board games, and she enjoyed going to casinos. Faye took immense pride in her granddaughter, Lisa Faye Fisher. She loved listening to her extremely talented granddaughter Lisa sing any and all types of music on stage or just especially for her alone. She was a wonderful gardener, tending to flowers in her yard, where she also fed the birds and squirrels. Being outside in the sunlight sustained her always. She loved traveling, especially her many trips to Aruba. Faye was an extremely loyal fan to all Cleveland sports teams, especially her Cleveland CAVS, never missing any televised games. Sports came naturally to her, having met her husband Bob on a baseball field. She would travel anywhere and watch her son, Gary, play softball.
Faye is survived by her daughter-in-law, Toni DeCarlo Fisher; granddaughter Lisa Faye Fisher; Aunt Bette Kinnan; cousins Judi Brooks and Harold (Buddy) Kinnan: niece Kim Mizelle (David); nephew Kevin Willis (Kim); niece Cindi Oberholtz (Neal); great nieces Brittany Mizelle, Michelle Kiser (Nate), Danielle Oberholtz & Janelle Oberholtz. She will also be lovingly missed by the entire DeCarlo family. She was blessed with many friends and neighbors who we thank for their friendship and care, especially Daren Marshall.
Faye was defined by her strength in her later years, never allowing her illness to stop her. She fought the good fight, and we were in awe of her every day incredible life. We will never stop missing her.
Faye's family wish to express their appreciation to Dr. Walter Klatt and staff; Dr. Robin Laskey and staff for their excellent care provided to her. We also want to thank Pebble Creek Rehab Center and Summa Hospice for their support during this time. Special thanks to daughter-in-law, Toni Fisher for her never-ending loving care during these final years of our beloved Faye.
