Walter Goshko Obituary

Walter Goshko, 74, passed away the morning of September 15, 2021 at home from complications of Leukemia and COPD.
He was born in Germany to Sophia and John Goshko and grew up in the Akron area. He was an Altar boy at the Ukrainian Catholic Church and attended St. Paul Grade School, Roswell Kent Junior High School and graduated from Garfield High School. He then went on to serve in the Army during Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Anna; He is survived by his son, John (Laura); grandchildren, Amber (Dakota), Shannon (Hunter), CC and LJ; 4 great-grandchildren; and nephews, Mike and John Gmerek. He will also be deeply missed by his #1 Fan and loving companion of 23 years, Donna; his golfing buddies, Jimmy and Denny; and special friend, Larry, who was like a brother to him. He was an avid pool player and pretty good at it too. He loved all things sports, especially Ohio State, the Browns and the Indians.
Funeral service will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301 where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, Akron)
