Thomas Bernard Pastor

Thomas B. Pastor, 79, was born June 16, 1941 and died May 20, 2021 from the devastating aftereffects of Covid-19.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 yrs., Linda (Dieringer) Pastor, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and various in laws, all of whom loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary; siblings Joseph, Robert, Bernice, Joyce, Pauline, Frances and his nephew John.
He was a 1959 graduate of East High School and attended the University of Akron. Tom served In the Army from 1963 to 1965, most of that time working in the Pentagon for the office of The Army Chief of Staff. Before being drafted and after his discharge, Tom worked for the Heslop Company. He was then employed by Thomas J. Dillon & Co. for over twenty years. it was there that he met his wife, Linda.
He loved working in his yard, puttering around the house and was a great gourmet cook. Tom was a kind, generous, loving man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He maintained close contact with many friends from his childhood years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated May 27 at 11:00 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Road in Akron, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior, beginning at 10AM. Masks and social distancing will be required. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Francis de Sales Church. Arrangements are being handled by Kucko- Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home.
