Thomas J. Gall, 64, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 26, 2021.
Tom was born to the late Paul & Helen Gall on April 19, 1957 in Parma, Ohio. A 1976 graduate of Normandy High School in Parma, Tom went to Alderson Braudous College in WV on a basketball scholarship and he graduated with a business degree. He joined the US Army in 1985 and served for 21 years, retiring as a Major in 2006 with honors. After his service, Tom worked for a family business in sales. Tom was a faithful servant of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, where he served as former parish council president, festival chairperson and a distinguished member of the RBO. His faith was extremely strong, he inspired many others and never hesitated to share his faith. Tom would take fellow veterans under his wing and do what he could to share some happiness with them.
Tom will be missed by his wife of 26 years, Cheryl nee Nicholas; sons Nicholas Thomas & Christopher Paul; brothers Paul (Kathy) and Michael; mother-in-law Louise Nicholas; brothers-in-law Jim (Lisa), Marty (Barb), John (Sue); sister-in-law Leanne (Steve); and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 30 from 3-7PM at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 755 S Cleveland Ave, Mogadore, OH 44260, where funeral services will be held at 7PM. A Panikhida will be celebrated 10AM on Tuesday at the church, where friends may call beginning at 9AM. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
