Theodosis "Ted" Pappas, 83, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at Akron General Medical Center after a brief illness.
Ted was born November 12, 1938 to Emanuel and Angeline (Menambeliotakis) Pappadakis in Canton and had been an area resident his entire life. He had been employed by Conrail as a brakeman for over thirty years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church. He loved to golf anywhere but his favorite courses were Firestone Public and Bob-o-link. He loved to walk at Firestone Metropark and Boettler Park and was a wonderful dancer. He had a great singing voice. He enjoyed traveling and good food (ice cream and coconut cream pie).
Ted is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Carolyn (Petty); his children Ted (Lori) Pappas Jr. and Nicole (Dale) McKinney; grandchildren Brittani, Ted III, Abigail, Hannah and Isabella Pappas, Nicole (Chad) and Natalie Mollica,Taylor (Thomas) Leonard, Mateya (Corey) Romain, Kayla and Sophia McKinney; great grandchildren Harper, Oliver and Avanna, Jayce McKinney, Kylie, Ariya and Caynan Leonard and Cove Romain; siblings Dorothy Delianides, Emanuel (Chris) Pappadakis and Rena (Jim) Cotopolis; Many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Angela Pappas, first wife Kay Pappas and mother-in-law Helen Petty.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 19, 2021 from 10 to 11 am at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd., Uniontown OH 44685 where a Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Queen of Heaven Church.
