Sylvia May (Hawkins) Tisch

Sylvia Tisch, 94, passed away on November 13, 2023.
Born in Akron on December 14, 1928 to the late Samuel & Myrtle Hawkins, Sylvia had been a resident of Cuyahoga Falls for most of her life. She was a 1946 graduate of North High School. Sylvia was a member of the First Christian Church of Cuyahoga Falls for over 60 years, where she was a member of the church choir. She spent many years caring for children in her home and spent time volunteering in the library at Price Elementary School.
In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband Donald & her son Daniel. She is survived by her five children Linda (Craig) Howdyshell, David (Patty) Tisch, Ronda (Craig) Tobin, Terri (Tony) Caporaletti, & Brent (Lucky) Tisch; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces & nephews.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Gardens of the Western Reserve for the compassionate care given to Sylvia.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 17, at 10 am, followed by a funeral service at 12 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home, McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel 247 Stow Ave. in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls.
