Susan Marie Valatka

Susan Marie Valatka lost her fight with Covid on Sunday, September 12th, 2021.
Susan was born 5/19/64 in Akron, OH. She is preceded in death by her parents,
Marian and Larry Valatka and grandparents Mary and Walter Valatka and Grace and Leonard Rose.
She leaves behind her beautiful daughter Samantha (Adam Recklaw), her sister Lori, brother Mark (Debra/Charlie), nephew Kyle, her Uncle Tom (Judy) Valatka and many loving cousins and dear friends.
Susan grew up part of a very close and loving family. She had such a gentle strength, and she always saw the good in everyone and everything. She loved her family and friends with fierce intensity. She was a loyal friend to many. Her favorite role though was being the mother to Samantha who she often said was her whole life.
Susan was an incredibly hard worker and became an award-winning Customer Service Specialist with GOJO Industries. She valued her time with her coworkers and being part of such an excellent team and company.
Susan was a hero to many of us. She lived with kidney disease. She was often faced with unbelievable challenges and obstacles. She never complained, she never became bitter, and she never gave up. She fought to live for her daughter Samantha and all of us who lived in awe of her amazing courage, love and kindness. Susan was a beautiful person inside and out who was abundantly kind. She lit up any room she entered and always had a smile and kind word for everyone. Susan was everything someone would want in a mother, sister, aunt and friend.
Without regret, her brother Mark, whom she said was her hero, donated a kidney to Susan to extend and improve her life. Unfortunately, Susan contracted the COVID virus, and she was unable to overcome all the of the difficulties the virus presented.
Susan did not want to leave her daughter Samantha. She did not want to leave any of us, but it happened anyway.
Our lives will never be the same without her. When you think of Susan, please remember:
Every minute someone leaves this world behind.
Age had nothing to do with it.
We are all in this line without knowing it.
We never know how many people are in front of us. We cannot move to the back of the line.
We cannot step out of line.
We cannot avoid the line.
So, while we wait in line-
Make moments count.
Make a difference
Make the call.
Make priorities.
Make the time.
Make your gifts known.
Make a "nobody" feel like a "somebody".
Make your voice heard.
Make the small things big.
Make someone smile.
Make a change.
Make yourself a priority.
Make love.
Make up.
Make peace.
Make sure to tell your people they are loved.
Make waves.
Make sure to have no regrets.
