Sherry Albertson Obituary

Sherry Lee Albertson, 75, died on Friday February 12, 2021, at her home in Fairlawn, Ohio from complications related to COPD. In hospice for three months, she passed away surrounded by love.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Russell Albertson; son James (Kelly) Albertson, daughter Jan (James) Choma and four loving grandchildren, Christopher Choma (Mary Puleo), Laurel Albertson (Ron Bailey), Michael Choma and Elizabeth Choma, and sister Patricia Kalouskas (Ralph “Butch” Fichtner) and sister-in law Sandra (David) Roginski.

Born on January 19, 1946, Sherry grew up near Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and graduated from Woodridge High School in 1964. She dedicated her life to raising her family and helping others. Her love of the Lord shined through in words and deed and she always saw the best in everyone. Sherry worked many jobs throughout her life but her favorite was working with horses at a farm in Peninsula. Her hobbies included working in her yard and flower beds, playing with the grandkids, and doing ceramics. But most of all, she will be remembered for her unconditional love and kindness, desire to help others, and her love for God, her family, and friends. Sherry is a true inspiration to all who met her, and she will truly be missed.

A private service will be held for close family and friends at McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel in Cuyahoga Falls. Sherry will be interred at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sherry’s favorite charity, Haven of Rest Ministries in Akron, Ohio.

If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Romans 14:8
