Sheila Maureen (Kelliher) Lloyd

Sheila Kelliher Lloyd, 64, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021, with her family by her side. Sheila was born May 11, 1957, in Washington DC, to the late Anne and Jack Kelliher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Mary Kelliher Wilt and her niece Emily Wilt. She is survived by her daughter Catherine Moran; her grandchildren Joseph, Sam, Julia and Sarah Moran; her siblings Denny Kelliher (Colleen), Jim Kelliher (Nina), Katie Langworthy (Scott) and Theresa Mansius (Chuck); several nieces, nephews, and great-nephews; 30 first cousins; and many friends.

Sheila began her career as a nurse while living in Delaware, and continued nursing after moving to Ohio, until her retirement in 2010. After retiring, she traveled to Delaware often to be with her grandchildren, who she loved spending time with. She also felt grateful to have the time to be with her sister in Virginia, helping her through her extended illness. Sheila loved being active, and especially loved walking in the cemetery near her home, enjoying both the peace and the history she felt there. She was always ready with a smile and loved to make people laugh. Her presence in our lives will be greatly missed.

We would like to thank her doctors and the staff of both the critical care unit and the palliative care unit at Akron City Hospital for their dedicated care.

A memorial service for Sheila will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road, Uniontown OH 44685 (corner of Massillon and Steese Rds., entrance off Steese).
