Russell VanAmburg, 73, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021.
He was born in Ravenna, Ohio and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ravenna. He was a graduate of Ravenna High School and obtained his Tool & Dye certification from Barberton, Ohio. He retired from Prospect Mold in 2017 after 48 years of service. Russell was also a member of the Moose Lodge, was an avid bicyclist and loved his cats.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell E. and Betty VanAmburg; and wife, Deborah A. (Houck) VanAmburg. He is survived by his nephew, Nick (Melissa) Houck; niece, Dawn (Jason) Miller; grand-niece and grand-nephew, Baylee and Logan Miller; cousin, Clyde Myers; and life-long friend, John Feeney.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ravenna, 409 W. Main St. Ravenna, Ohio 44266. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Cuyahoga Falls. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St.) Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221.
