Nancy Jean (Potoczny) Starr

Nancy J. Starr (nee Potoczny), age 65 of Ravenna passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022 after a brief but courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She passed peacefully and was surrounded by family until the very end.
Nancy was smart, sassy, and genuinely one of a kind. Her big heart remained hidden at first. After getting to know her, you would quickly see she simply overflowed with kindness and love. Especially for her family, friends, and patients. Nancy was a retired nurse who devoted her life to being a fearless advocate to all her patients.
Nancy is survived by her loving family that includes her husband, Bernie; children; son Chris (Rachel) Starr; daughter, Holly (Michael) Hogston; grandsons, CJ, Nick, and Jon; sister, Janet (Ron) Fogle; and brother John Potoczny.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Ann Potoczny.
Nancy enjoyed the beach, soaking up the sun, gardening, casino trips, but most of all, spending time with family. Devoted to them until her final days. Nancy spent her life raising her children and grandchildren, alongside her husband Bernie of more than 42 years. Nancy always gave gifts, cards, and other trinkets to celebrate all of life's events, no matter how small. She would remember EVERYTHING and truly preferred giving over receiving. Nancy leaves a hole in the world that can never be filled, at least not by just one individual.
Family members will be celebrating Nancy (AKA Hun, Mom, Mum, Millie, and Grammy) in a private ceremony.
