Nancy Carol Abel

Nancy C. Abel, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Akron and was a member of the former Akron Baptist Temple and Copley Baptist Temple. She was the personnel manager for Cedarwood Development for 25 plus years. First and foremost, Nancy's love for the Lord radiated everywhere she went. She spent many years ministering at her Monday Night Ladies bible study and playing the piano for the nursing home ministry. She loved the Lord and was a Godly influence on her family and others. Secondly, she loved all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all of her heart. She had a way of making everyone around her feel special and loved beyond belief. "Ninny's" favorite times were spent at their family cabin teaching all of her children to appreciate nature, use their imaginations, clean creeks and play in the dirt. She relaxed by tending her flower gardens and ferns. She was also an accomplished piano player in classical music but loved letting her fingers fly over the keys as she played upbeat gospel music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Pearl (Hyder) Moore; and will be buried alongside her husband, Alex. She is survived by her daughters, Sherrie (Michael) Yurick, Candy (Simon) Semonin, Janet West (Randy) and Joan (Bill) Mullins; sons, Randy (Drudy) Abel, Alex (Ann) Abel and Rick (Linda) West; grandchildren, Michael (Jade) Yurick, Eric (Anne) Harmon, Chad (Kortney) Harmon, Joe (Emily) Abel, Jessica (Duke) Anderson, Bill (Jeannine) Abel, Brandi Abel (Brandon Fabris), Cortney (Ariel) Abel, Jared (Alyssa) Semonin, Trenton Abel, Chase Abel, Alexis Abel, Sara (Richard) Morales and Andrea Mullins; and great-grandchildren, Leila & Lucas Yurick, Alice, Evelyn & Elizabeth Harmon, Colton & Mckenna Harmon, Bayleigh, Abbie, Camrynn, Brycen, Xavier & Carter Abel, Blake & Alyza Anderson, Will, Wade &Wyatt Abel, Harper, Dru, Ellie & Cash Fabris and RJ & Maeson Morales.
Funeral service will be held Friday, 6:00 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301 where the family will receive friends from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Pastors Daniel Hanlon and Eric Harmon officiating.
