Michael Patrick Matulavich

Michael Patrick Matulavich (Mikey) 59, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2021. The angels came to carry an innocent soul and spirit to the arms of Jesus where he was made whole. He is overjoyed to see the love of his life, Grandma Beulah Puett.
Even though he was born with many challenges, including being nonverbal, Mikey always had a loving smile and big hug for everyone he met. His parents were blessed to have him in their lives and considered it a privilege to be his life-long caregivers.
Mikey loved riding the MRDD bus to the Weaver and Southern Workshops where he could be with his friends. In later years, after losing the ability to walk, Mikey never lost his genuine excitement and joy when visited by family and friends.
Mikey is survived by parents Mike and Pat, brother Mark (Becky) and sister Rachel Mostar; brother-in-law John Mostar; niece Marisa and nephews Michael, Alex, and Steven Mostar; very special uncle Sam (Barbara), uncle Pete (Zee), uncle Paul (Cindy) and special cousins Rhonda, Ronnie, and Robbin Shook in Georgia.
The family is grateful to Dr. Michael Hill for his many years of caring for Mikey, Dr. Jennifer Drost, and the many nurses from Summa Home Care and Hospice. Special thanks to Jennings Cross, MRDD Advocate for his loving concern, care, and support for Mikey.
Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service for family will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 7:00pm at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Rd. Uniontown OH 44685 (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads in Green, entrance off Steese Road). Rev. Dallas Billington officiating. In lieu of flowers, please do something kind for someone in Mikey's memory.
