Maureen Ann (Owens) Brand

Maureen "Mo" Brand (Owens), 74, passed away after a short battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at her home.
Maureen was born in Akron on December 13, 1946, to the late Robert & Rosemary Owens and was a lifelong area resident. Maureen worked at Alside for 15 years and left to become a district sales manager for Avon for several years. She ended her career at White Hat Management. She was loved by her family and everyone she met. She was a 'second mom' to everyone. Maureen enjoyed Hallmark movies, playing slots with her husband & friends Tom and Martha Bailey and spending time with her greatest joys, her grandkids.
In addition to her parents, Maureen was preceded in death by her grandson Jacob Ryan Dever. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Harry; daughter Lori (John) Dever; son Shawn (Mandy) Brand; grandchildren Haley, Emma & Seth Brand and Sophie & Samantha Dever; siblings Judy Owens, Bobbie (Dan) Smith, Kevin (Joan) Owens; and many nieces and nephews.
Special thank you to her sister Judy, brother Kevin and niece Vanessa Case, for their support and presence during Maureen's final journey. Thank you also to the Infusion Center at Western Reserve Hospital and to Summa Hospice for their compassionate care.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 22 from 4-7PM at the Anthony Funeral Homes, McGowan-Reid and Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave in Cuyahoga Falls. Funeral services will begin at 11AM on Saturday at the funeral home, where friends may call beginning at 10AM.
