Mary Jane Belany Obituary
Mary Belany (Paoletti), 90, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2022.
Mary's first job was as a candy girl at the Palace Theater. She had many jobs, but found true enjoyment working 27 years at Kistler's Bakery as office manager and later at St. Vincent Grade School as school secretary for 20 years. After her retirement, she was very active at the Green YMCA. She was Senior Adviser and loved being there. Mary was an active member in many parish organizations at St. Vincent de Paul Church. She was the National Council of Catholic Women's Woman of the Year. Throughout her many careers and volunteer activities she met and made many wonderful friends of all ages. Mary lit up a room when she entered. If Mary met you, she loved you. You could feel that when you met.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Katie Paoletti; brothers John (Gloria) & Leonard (Iola) Paoletti. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Kathy (Louie) Devus; grandchildren Alex, Matt, & Julie (John Reinart) Devus; cousins Marty, Bob & Michael (Gail) Habas and Mary (Gordan) Dulaney; nieces & nephews Leonard (Christina) Paoletti, Sandi (Dick) Schweitzer, Darlene (Vince) Jacobs, John Paoletti, and Joanna Kitchen, as well as great nieces and nephews. Mary especially enjoyed her great-grandchildren Charles & Penelope Devus and Abigail Reinart, as well as many other extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Mary's life will be held on January 20 at the Queen of Heaven Parish Life Center from 5:00-8:00 pm. Light refreshments will be provided.
