MaryAnn Georges Obituary
MaryAnn E. Georges, 86, went home to be with the Lord on December 16, 2020.
MaryAnn was born in Akron on Novemer 12, 1934 to thye late Albert & Mary Hunter. She was a graduate of St. Mary High School. Mary Ann worked for General Tire and retired from the US Postal Service. She was a devout lifetime member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Firestone Park, where she volunteered much time helping in the school and church.
MaryAnn was devoted to her children, grandchildren and family. They were her greatest joy.
MaryAnn was preceded in death by her husband Norman and her beloved daughter Sandra; brothers Albert (Helen), Art (Chip), & Mike (Viv) Hunter.
She is survived by her children Mike (Meg) Georges, Gail (John) Barrick & Norma Selegean; son-in-law Lance Baldwin; grandchildren Jason, Michael, Brady (Bethany), Blake, & Carl; great-granddaughter Layla, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, & friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Jacob Brown at St. Luke Community and to the staff at Akron General Medical Center for all of their compassion & care.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul Catholic Church. A Celebration of MaryAnn's life will take place in the summer.
