Obituary
Mary Louise Tice (Phillips), 51, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023 at her home.
Mary was born March 29, 1971, in Ashland and was raised in Akron. She was a 1991 graduate of Central-Hower High School.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Michael, children April (Eric) McCown, Jeremiah Tice, Joshua Tice, James Tice, and Abigail Tice; grandchildren Carter and Paislee Mc Cown; father John Phillips; siblings John (Katherine) Phillips, Stephanie (Anthony) Campbell, and Jennifer Phillips (Todd Fields); and lifelong best friend Sheila Laughlin. She was preceded in death by her mother Thelma Phillips and sister Janice Engstrom.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 5 to 7pm at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road (Corner of Massillon and Steese Roads, entrance off Steese Road), where a Celebration of Mary's life will take place at 7:00pm. Interment will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses, c/o Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St.. Akron OH 44301.
