Mary Schneckenburger, age 71, of Akron, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly November 4, 2023. Mary was born on March 28, 1952, Akron, Ohio to the late Harold and Josephine (Bamonte) Schneckenburger.
She will be remembered as a big sister, aunt, great-aunt, niece, and good friend to all that knew her. She was full of life and enjoyed being surrounded by her many stuffed animals and dolls; especially Henry, an adorable white bear that she will take with her to heaven. In times past, she also enjoyed cooking her favorite dish of corn souffle and sneaking holiday cookies, which always ended in a big laugh from her when she was caught!
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Josephine, brother William, and several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her brother Robert (Denese) Schneckenburger, Akron, Ohio; nephew Mathew (Elizabeth) Schneckenburger, Fort Worth, Texas; niece Megan (Ted) Stone, Fort Myers, FL; nephews Nicholas (Katie) Schneckenburger and Brandon Schneckenburger; Akron, Ohio; great-niece Sophia Schneckenburger, great-nephew Myles Schneckenburger, both of Fort Worth, Texas; Mary is also survived by her aunts, Eleanor (Bamonte) Harget, Ann Marie (Bamonte) West, Mary (Braccio) Bamonte, all of Akron, Ohio; and many cousins in Ohio and Kentucky. Mary also leaves behind her beloved friends and caregivers at Family First Home.
Family and friends may call Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home - 1990 South Main Street, Akron from 9AM to 12Noon. Service to immediately follow at 12 PM. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association.
