Mary A (Combs) Michael

Mary A. Michael, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2023.

Mary was born in West Virginia, and she came to Northeast Ohio as a young woman. She met her husband, Davy Lee Michael, in Cleveland, where they both worked in factories. They enjoyed several years of marriage before welcoming their daughter Charlene. They maintained a cordial relationship while raising Charlene, and Mary was his caretaker during Davy's battle with lung cancer. She had a green thumb and loved gardening. Mary also liked to make old things new again by restoring antiques. She was a beloved mother, grandma, sister, and friend; she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Causby Combs; siblings Sonny, Elizabeth, and Charles. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Charlene & Michael Maas; grandchildren Frederick Michael Maas & David Michael Maas; sister Virigina Markley; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 25 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads, entrance off Steese) and on Thursday, October 26 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00PM.
