Mary Falatok, 91, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at St. John Hospital.
Mary was born January 14, 1929 to Michael and Maria (Bacjar) Stolar in Doylestown and had been an Akron resident for most of her life. She was the Parish Secretary at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for many years.
Mary was a member of St. John the Baptist and Nativity Catholic Churches, the Hibernians and Jednota Branch 553 and was an officer of the bowling and golf leagues. She was also an officer of the Sokol Wreath 5.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George in 1982, brother Frank Stolar and infant daughter Caroline. She is survived by her daughters Terry (Phil) Meinen, Gloria (Chuck) Savage and Chris (Bob) Carver; grandchildren Doug (Angie) Meinen, Tracy (James Burton) Meinen, Eric (Jennifer) Meinen, Jason, Tina and Rosie Savage, Tiffany (David) Ford, Adam (Shy) Carver and Nicole (Jeff) Wilson; great grandchildren Mallory, Veronica and Alex Meinen, Ethan Burton, Marissa and Lucas Meinen, Charlie Savage, Kaitlyn and Jakob Ford, Raylyn Carver and Lia and Dylan Wilson and many Falatok nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 11:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1034 Brown St., Akron OH 44301 where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM at the church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society c/o St. John Church.
