Marcia Jewett Obituary
Marcia Jewett, 86, passed away on September 8, 2022.
Marcia was born in Canton on May 25, 1936 to the late Louis & Maryon Segesman and was a graduate of John Lehman High School in Canton. She attended Ohio University, where she met the love of her life John F. Jewett. She earned her bachelors in education in 1974 from Malone College. She was a founding member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Greater Canton. She was an active member of the North Canton Playhouse Community Theater for many years. Marcia loved to read and enjoyed playing Scrabble, Dominoes, and Trivial Pursuit with her friends at Cardinal Village.
In addition to her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, John in 2020. She is survived by her children Lois (Jennifer May) Weir and Vernon (Jennifer) Jewett; grandchildren Connor & Megan May and Nicholas, Edward, Paul & Mark Jewett.
A Celebration of Marcia's Life will be held at Unitarian Universalist Church of Kent Hobbs Hall on October 23, 2022 at 3 pm. A Zoom option will be available for those who cannot attend in person. Contact churchoffice@kentuu.org for the link.
