Lucille Ruth (Smith) Casto

Lucille Casto, 95 passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at Altercare of Hartville.

Lucille was born May 6, 1925 to Albert and Golda (Trachsel) Smith in Akron and had been an area resident her entire life. She was employed for 19 years by the University of Akron. She was a faithful and longtime member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle. She was also a member of TOPS and the Open Road Camping Club.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, of 60 years, Ova in 2006; sons-in-law Rick Hagen and Michael Martin and siblings Robert and Dale Smith and Nancy Jochum and is survived by her daughters Linda (Robert) Dingess, Becky (John) Hartzell and Cindy (Tim) Oster; Grandchildren Joel (Mary) Martin, Rebekah (Jason) Dickson, Chris (Natalie) Stottlemyer, Meghan (Chris Prunty) Stottlemyer, Ashley (Chris) Welfley, Matt Oster and Laura Oster; Great grandchildren Alex, Gabriel, August, Alan, Lennon, Chelsea, Aiden and Laila; and sister Faye Chimera.

Lucille will be remembered for her kind heart, sweetness and gentle supportive nature.

Private funeral services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1:00pm at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, Reverends Harold and Nicholas Strange officiating. Interment will be held Monday, November 23, 2020 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The service will be live streamed at https://www.facebook.com/AnthonyFuneralHomes.
