Kenneth O. Zeigler, 90, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2021.
Ken was born November 6, 1931, to the late Kenneth O. Sr. and Helen Glass Zeigler in Salem Ohio. After earning a business degree from Heidelberg and spending two years in the army, Ken settled in Akron and worked at Goodyear for 20 years before starting his own business. After retirement and selling his business, he had time to focus on his two main passions. First, hunting, gun & hunting safety, and defending the 2nd amendment. As a lifelong member of the NRA and a NRA instructor, he worked hard promoting safety and enjoyment in the sports. He also worked politically in Ohio and nationally on the rights of gun ownership. His second passion was cooking. He helped cook at many organizations' game dinners. He also enjoyed hosting family and friends for 6 to 8 course meals.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Betty J. Zeigler; son Brad Zeigler; brother Jon Zeigler; and daughter-in-law Theresa Zeigler. He is survived by son Jeffrey A. Zeigler; sisters Sally Lefler, Karen Fox and many nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Glenda and Mindy for helping in Ken & Betty's final years.
