Kenneth Ross Lucas, 81, fell asleep in the Lord on January 28, 2021.
He was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania and was a Research Chemist for Bridgestone/Firestone. He received his Doctorate from the University of Illinois and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity at the University of Pittsburgh. He was currently a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Berlin, New Hampshire, the R.B.O. and a former member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Mogadore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Virginia Lucas; and first wife, Barbara Lucas. Kenneth is survived by his second wife of 24 years, Sara Anne Lucas; children, James (Deborah) Lucas, Susan (Matt) Gibson, Douglas (Amy) and David (Lori) Lucas and Edward (Kristina), James (Sheri), Peter (Olmaurys) and David (Julie) Kimball; sister, Gloria Winter; 16 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 755 S. Cleveland Ave. Mogadore, Ohio 44260 where Kenneth will lie in state and the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Masks and Social Distancing Required. The Service will be Live Streamed from the Church’s You Tube Channel at www.youtube.com/c/stnicholasorthodoxchurchmogadoreoh. Very Rev. Fr. Nicholas Wyslutsky officiating.
