Katie Lynn (Zaklanovich) Sever

Katie Lynn Sever (nee Zaklanovich), born May 22, 1988, passed away peacefully January 1, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with the effects of Melanoma.
A life-long resident of Cuyahoga Falls, Katie was 2006 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School where she devoted her high school years to the piccolo section of the Tiger Marching Band and the flute section of the Symphonic Band.
Katie went on to graduate from the University of Akron in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Interior Design. Her last employment was as a Kitchen Project Specialist at the Lowes Stow location.It was at Lowes where she met the love of her life, Kiel Sever. Katie and Kiel married in June of 2019. As her health deteriorated, Kiel stayed by her side constantly and cared for her every need.
Katie enjoyed working on her home, using her extensive designer skills to create a beautiful residence for her, her husband Kiel and the other love of her life, her dog Mo. Katie was a tender, loving person who treasured spending her time in creative and artistic ways.
Katie is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents Nikola & Anna Zaklanovich of Akron and Russell & Helen Huth of Barberton; father and mother-in-law Ray & Patty Sever; aunt Peggy Carpenter; and uncles Bill and Dennis Huth.
In addition to her husband Kiel, Katie will be sadly missed by mother Louise McMinn & stepfather Mike McMinn of Cuyahoga Falls; father Nick Zaklanovich & stepmother Allyn Marzulla of Hudson; loving sister, Mary Zaklanovich and her fiancé Ralf Fragoza of Akron; stepbrothers Michael and Matthew (Sherri) McMinn; aunts Nancy (Vicky) Sheppard, Rosemary (Ed) Dickriede, Becky (Tom) Kornas; uncles Terry (Pat), Mickey (Dawn), Russell (Robin) and Eddie Huth; as well as extensive list of cousins, classmates, co-workers and friends add to those that will miss her.
Family will receive friends Thursday, January 7 from 4-8PM at the Anthony Funeral Home, McGowan Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave in Cuyahoga Falls (one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St). Masks and social distancing required. Private services and interment at Chestnut Hill Burial Park.
