Joanna LiCause, 92, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Green Village.
Joanna was born January 28, 1929 to Michael and Susan (Kovalak) Virostko in Akron and had been an area resident her entire life.
Joanna was a wonderful wife, grandmother, and friend, as well as a treasured mother and mother-in-law. She found true satisfaction and fulfillment in and around her home with family at the center. An amazing homemaker, her meals were always prepared with love. As her family grew with daughters-in-law and grandchildren, her love, support, and care were always evident and very much appreciated by all. Simply the best! A true Saint, if we could prove a miracle she would surely be canonized.
She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church since 1963. She was a member of the Ladies Guild and volunteered with school events while her children attended.
Joanna is survived by her children Stephanie, Matthew (Roseann), Michael (Gina) and Victor (Linda) LiCause; grandchildren Angela (Bill) Caley-Thomas and David, Daniel, Patricia and John (Hannah) LiCause; sister-in-law Margaret Virostko; many nieces and nephews. Joanna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Frank and brother Paul Virostko in addition to her parents.
