Jerry F. Lee, 93, passed away on November 6, 2023 after a brief illness.
Jerry was born in Akron on May 13, 1930 to the late Kenneth & Viola Lee. He was a 1948 graduate of Central High School and had lived in Cuyahoga Falls since 1958.. Jerry served his country as a member of the US Navy during the Korean War. He worked for the Danner Press, retiring in 2000 after 40+ years. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls. He was quiet and reserved, yet funny at just the right time. Jerry loved going to breakfast, working outside, being with his family, and of course, his plaid shirts. He believed in working hard, being thankful and always doing the right thing.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Theresa; sister Virginia Casto. He is survived by his children Larry (Karen), David (Susan), Greg (Bobbi), Brian, & Kathleen (Michael) Lee-Oles; grandchildren Jacqueline, Steven, Maria, Kathryn, Jesse, Joseph, Isabelle (Austin) & Zacharia; great-grandchildren Trent & Jayden.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 12, from 2-4 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel 247 Stow Ave (at 3rd. St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 13, 10 am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls.
