James Russell Albertson

James R. Albertson, 81, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Heather Knoll Care Center.

James (Jim) was born October 12, 1942, to Russell and Charlotte (Robison) Albertson in Akron and was a resident of the Cuyahoga Falls area his entire life. He was a 1961 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, attended Ashland University, and received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Akron. Between his studies at school Jim actively participated in competitive sports and he particularly enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, and football throughout his childhood, high school, and college years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having attained the rank of Second Lieutenant. Jim was also an avid poker player and loved gatherings with friends and family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sherry Lee (Kazlouskas) and brother Fred. He is survived by his children James (Kelly) Albertson and Jan (Jim) Choma; grandchildren Christopher (Mary), Mike, Elizabeth and Laurel (Ron) Bailey; sister Sandra (David) Roginski and sister-in-law Patricia Kazlouskas (Butch).

The family will receive friends Friday, October 27, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan, Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave, Cuyahoga Falls OH 44221.
