Helen Swaney Obituary
Helen Kathryn (Moore) Swaney went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 17, 2021. She passed away peacefully at the age of 79.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Edward and Hazel Kathrine (Walker) Moore; two brothers, William and Lawrence Moore; and her little bird, Sunshine.
Born on August 10, 1942, Helen attended Brimfield Elementary School and graduated from Kent State University High School in 1960. She was married to Charles P. Swaney. Helen was a member of Central Baptist Church in Akron. She was a resident at Pebble Creek Nursing Home in Green where she considered it to be home and family. She loved all the residents and staff there and they loved her. She will be sadly missed!
Helen leaves behind sister-in-law, Fran Butcher and her children, Raymond Mark, Glen Thomas, Judith Suzanne and Barbara Jean and their families; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Susan Swaney and Alice and Bill Montgomery; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd. Akron, Ohio 44312. Pastor David Harbeson officiating. All are Welcome!
