Howdy pardner... Well if you're reading this, I've left the Western Dream Ranch and on to the North forty.
I arrived on this earth October 6, 1937 & left June 27, 2021. After 83 years I'm off to catch up with parents Fritz & Emma Kunig, brother Robert and in-laws Tony & Katie Merkl. I may even run into a few outlaws.
I spent 50 years at Goodrich research & rustled up 5 patents. The hardest patent was in magnetics. After two experts in magnetics spent two years on the project without results, I spent 3 months tinkering with it and wrapped it up.
Sure it would have been nice if this had lasted a bit longer but my time on earth has been blessed with the love of my life Mary Ann for just shy of 54 years. I've been blessed with great family, friends and co-workers. It's hard to ask for more!
I would like to give a special tip of my cowboy hat to the cowpokes that remain, brother Richard (Barbara} Kunig and nephew RC Kunig. I would especially like to thank all our dear friends that have been by our side during this battle with cancer.
Take care of my favorite cowgirl, Mary Ann and yourselves...Love Fred
All cowpokes may call on Friday, July 9th from 5-7 pm, or on Saturday, July 10, from 9-10 am to pay their condolences to my kin at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where y'all will send me off to the ranch in the sky at 11 am. The wagon train will then head on over to Lakewood cemetery for graveside services.
