Dennis L. Hubele, 71 passed away peacefully on August 1, 2023, surrounded by his family after a long struggle battling cancer. At that time, all he believed and put his faith in became a reality, as he met our Lord face to face for eternal life.
He was born in Akron to the late Leroy and Betty Hubele. He graduated from Akron Garfield, class of 1970, and University of Akron in 1975 with a bachelor's degree in education. Denny went on to further his career joining The Akron Fire Department becoming a firefighter and paramedic, then being promoted to Lieutenant.
He was a member of Horizon Christian Fellowship serving as a Deacon, until he needed to resign due to his illness. He taught Sunday School for many years.
Denny was an avid Beatles' fan. His love of the outdoors led him to adventures of hiking and biking on many trails throughout the U.S. Meeting with his firefighters and buddies as far back as grade school was a regular activity.
He was affectionately known as "Pap" to his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time at their sporting events, dance recitals and various activities. Their all-time favorite was camping at Yogi Bear's every summer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue (Corall) of 48 years. They were blessed with three daughters, Amy (Bob) Smith, Chrissy Scheid (George Cooke), and Stephanie (Andrew) Yoder. Six grandchildren, Kaylee, Kelsie, Wyatt, Natalie, Levi, and Jacob. His brother Don (Donna) Hubele. Also, four brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law. Many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
