Daniel Adkins

Daniel Raymond Adkins, 66, went home to be with the lord on December 15, 2023.
Dan was born January 5,1957 in Akron Ohio and was a resident of New Franklin, OH. He was a police officer with Norton, OH serving over 25 years. Dan married the love of his life Shirley in September of 1975, spending 49 years together and raising three children.
Dan is proceeded in death by his parents Raymond and Cheryl Adkins and brother Patrick Adkins.
In addition to his wife Dan is survived by brothers Jeff (Lori) Adkins, Michael (Kim) Adkins; sons Chad (Susan) Adkins & Christopher Adkins; daughter Channon Adkins. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Cameron Adkins, Steven Jarvis, Lane, Kenna, Kallee, Luke, Liam Adkins, Kinsley Hoffman, and Great-grandchild Kingston Adkins; close friends Rene, Bill and Noah Wandling.
Dans greatest joys in life were his family. You could always find him at one of his grandkids' sporting events or camping with his family. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandsons, fishing, or any outdoor activities.
Please join us for a celebration of life Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Liberty Free Will Church 3819 Johnson Rd, Norton OH where the family will receive friends at 11 am with a service following at 3 pm by Rev. Cecil Farmer.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's for children or Brain and Aneurysm Research.
