Craig Woodruff Obituary

Craig Hamilton Woodruff(Woody) was born & raised in Norton, Ohio to his loving parents, Clifford Woodruff, Sr and Ourania "Ray" (Lapidakis)Woodruff, who preceded him in death. He left his earthly home, on August 7th, 2023, at the age of 54. Craig adored his paternal grandfather and loved using his nickname "Woody". He loved life, people, his country and brought dedication, joy & laughs to whomever he dealt with in his jobs or out in the community. His smile and laughs will be missed by all who knew him! He tremendously enjoyed serving his church and helping its members, when needed. His sense of pride in his community showed as he was an integral part in helping the drum and bugle corps, Rogues Hollow Regiment. His love of music shone brightly throughout his life, thanks in part, to the various genres of music played in his childhood home as his mom was a piano teacher, soloist and choir director. A childhood friend recalled him practicing his trumpet outside in the yard, and he continued to play in his adult life. Woodworking and cooking were two of his passions and he created a well followed foodie page, What Are You Eating Now?. He and Breony, who met 8 years ago, loved family outings with her children, and of course, trying all of his local favorite dining spots, like Pavs Creamery. In fact, that is where Woody proposed to Bre. They enjoyed riding bikes, going to baseball games and the usual pilgrimages to Cedar Point. They once followed a family of peregrine falcons building a nest and raising babies. He was also a dedicated fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and loved to share his happiness when they won, and you all know what it was like, when they did not! Woody was a lover of all dogs, especially Sasha, his family's beloved pet.
Surviving him is the love of his life, fiancé Breony Sigler, her children, Jada and Johnny, brother, Clifford Woodruff, II, sister, Michelle Hodge(James), nieces, Cali Rae Moore (Clint), Kelsey Hodge, nephews Kyle Hodge, Corey Hodge.

"I'M FREE"
Don't grieve for me for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me
I took his hand when I heard him call,
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I've found that peace at the close of day
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life's been full, I've savored much,
Good friends, good times, my loved one's touch
If my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your heart, rejoice with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
