Connie Pysell, 69, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 8, 2020.
Connie was born in Akron on October 7, 1950 and was a member of St. Elia Orthodox Church in Akron. She was an avid bowler, euchre player, and bingo player. She was a huge wrestling fan and enjoyed going to local wrestling shows. She loved the NY Yankees and the character Tweety Bird.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents Nick & Vurlie (Phillips) Horoschak; step-mother Bettie Horoschak; brother Nicholas Horoschak & sister Martha Burgess; brother-in-law David Burgess; aunts & uncles Julia Sikora, Nancy & Malcolm Simpson, John Horoschak, Mary Ramnytz, Sam Letta, as well as many others. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Nikki & David Majewski; grandsons Nicholas & Alexander Majewski, whom she dearly loved; unbiological grandchildren Robert & Joseph Benson, Kendra & Chessa Vandever, along with other family members and loving friends, including Kathleen Gill, Rosemary Simpson, Joe Samples, & Darell Ball; in-laws Shade & Majewski families and many ladies from the Barberton Moose.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 5-6:30 pm & a Parastas will take place at 6:30 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will take place on Friday, Feb. 14, at 10:30 am at St. Elia the Prophet Orthodox Church 64 W. Wilbeth Rd. in Akron, where Connie will lie in state for one hour prior to the service.
