Obituary

Charles M. Perkins Jr. "Uncle Dick," 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday May 6, 2023.
Uncle Dick, as he was known to everyone, was born in Birmingham, Alabama and was a Florida resident most of his life. He worked for the United States Postal Service for over 30 years having never missed a day. He loved spoiling his nephews and nieces as they grew up. He loved fishing, wrestling, and playing jokes on his family. He was a highly skilled yo-yo player and enjoyed playing cards and dominos. He was the sweetest and most loving, polite southern gentleman in the world. He is survived by his nephew and caregiver Charles (Diana) Perkins among other nieces and nephews.
We would also like to say a very special thank you to David (Gloria) Dunham, Derek DiPaulo, and Justin Cook. Justin was Uncle Dick's favorite; he called for him many times a day and night. They watched wrestling together and had many, many laughs together. Uncle Dick will be missed by so many for he was and will always be in our hearts and memories.
We encourage friends and loved ones to share your favorite memories of our beloved Uncle Dick.
