Catherine Ann (Madden) Burse

Catherine "Cathy" Ann Burse, 70, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 after a brief illness.
Cathy was born on May 1, 1952 to the late Jeremiah and Virginia Madden and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from St. Vincent High School and retired from the medical field. Cathy loved to travel and anything Mickey Mouse. She loved laughing with her many friends and always knew how to have a good time.
In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her brothers Dennis, Terry and Kevin Madden; and sister-in-law Linda Madden. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Bob Burse; step-daughters Laura (Mike) Valentine, Michele Morris, & Dawn (Brian) Sawyer; siblings Michael Madden, Patty (David) Grow, Mary (Larry) McKenzie, Phyllis Madden (Kevin), and Larry (Wendy) Madden; 6 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 20 promptly at 1:15 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. A funeral procession will gather at the Anthony Funeral Homes, 1990 S Main St in Akron at 12:15 PM. Immediately following the graveside, friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held at the Hibernian Club, 2000 Brown St in Akron.
