Carolyn Theresa Sudar

Carolyn T. Sudar, 85, passed away on June 7, 2023.
She was born on Nov. 2, 1937, to Charles and Teresa Varga (nee Nyrati). She lived in Akron and Cuyahoga Falls before moving to Largo, FL in 1995. She met her soulmate Jani in 1957 and were married for 23 years until his passing in 1982. She was active in the Hungarian community in Akron for many years and taught the Hungarian dances at the Grape Dance and Vasar. She was active in the Social Club and president of the Hungarian club in Largo before moving back to Ohio in 2018.
She is preceded in death by her husband John (Janos) Sudar. She is survived by two sons John (Gretchen) and Steve (Cathy), 3 granddaughters Chelsea (Erica), Kirsten (Cameron) and Melanie (Joseph), and 4 great grandsons Lucas, Asher, Henry and Evan along with many cousins and close friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 11, 2023, from 2-5 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan -Reid & Santos Chapel 247 Stow Ave. (at 3rd St., one block north of Portage Trail) in Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 12, at 10 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church on 2nd St. in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
