Anthony J. (Tony) Klisan, Jr., 77, passed away at home surrounded by family on Friday, September 15, 2023 after a long battle with cancer (Liposarcoma). He was preceded in death by his father Anthony Sr. and mother Mary; sister, Margaret Olds and nephew, Eric Olds. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Connie; daughter, Stephanie; son, Ben (Angie); grandson, Nathan. In addition to brother-in-law, Woody Kessell; sister and brother-in-law, Becky and George Fatkins; numerous nieces and nephews. He was the founder/president of High Tech Mold and Machine, Inc. established in 1984. His many years of experience gained him national recognition in the field of design and repair of bladder molds in the tire industry. He enjoyed working next to his family and coworkers until his illness forced his retirement. During his time off he could be found on the beaches of North Carolina. He was an avid boater, car enthusiast and enjoyed renovating historic homes along the Ohio river. He had an interest in history that he shared with his beloved grandson.
The family will receive friends Thursday, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Funeral service will be held Friday, 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
