Albert A. Zimmerman, 91, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert E. & Teresa (Zebedis) Zimmerman, wife Catherine (Workman) of 24 years and wife Philomena (Hallam) of 42 years; son-in-law John Kemerer.
He is survived by his loving daughters Cathy (Robert) Nahacky & Karen Kemerer; grandchildren Stephen (Jennie) Nahacky, Katie Nahacky and Zackary & Taylor Kemerer; beloved brother Robert (Dorothy) Zimmerman; nephews Rick (Jeanne) Zimmerman & Michael Zimmerman and niece Terie (David) Janus. The children and grandchildren of Philomena. Special friend Anna Horn (Schatz), and many nieces, nephews, & friends.
Albert was a man of strong faith and love for his family.
Albert graduated from St. Mary High School, where he loved playing football, and attended Case Western Reserve University. He served in the US Navy & Navy Reserves. He started his own consulting, engineering, & training firm, the Industrial Timestudy Institute in Akron, which he managed for over 40 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was instrumental in establishing the Cardinal Mindszenty Council at Holy Trinity Church in Barberton, serving as Grand Knight.
Albert was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Church, and was a member of the German Family Society and the Polish American Club. After retiring Albert learned to play the buttonbox accordion and soon put together a combo that enjoyed playing many festivals and venues.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 7, from 4-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral will take place on Friday, October 8, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
