Zivan Jatich

Zivan Jatich, loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and friend, passed away September 22, 2014 at home surrounded by his family at the age of 94.
Born in Clinton, Ohio on September 2, 1920, Zeke was one of 10 children of Vion and Mary Jatich. He served in World War II, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. His 564th Squadron was awarded the Best Squadron of Efficiency in the European theater of Operation. In 1946, he and his brother, Mike, started Photomasters, a commercial photography business, which they successfully ran for 43 years. Zeke was an avid fisherman all his life and recently discovered fishing videos on YouTube. He enjoyed classical and jazz music, cooking and cooking shows, and always appreciated a good meal. He loved Cleveland sports teams and long ago predicted the return of LeBron James.
Zeke was preceded in death by his loving wife, Katie, and six brothers and sisters. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Trish Jatich; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Joe Lingle, daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Paul Huth; and son, Christopher Jatich; grandchildren, Lauren and Steven Jatich, Maria and Johathan Lingle, Lindsay and Alyssa Huth; siblings, Milan Jatich, Dan Jatich, and Dorothy Beres; and loving cat, Toby.
The family would like to thank the staff at Copley Health Center who made it possible for Zeke to enjoy the past five months at home.
Special heartfelt thanks to Zeke's loving caregivers, Dashawnda Pryor and Jan Henderson. Their gentle care and attention brought much comfort to Zeke and his family.

Visitation

The family will receive friends Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron 44301, where funeral service will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
