Zane Ray Thomas

Zane Ray Thomas, 95, of Tallmadge, OH went home to be with the Lord on June 27, 2021.
Zane was born in Akron on February 18, 1926 to the late William and Mary Thomas and was a graduate of Garfield High School. He enlisted in the Navy in 1944 and was separated in 1946. He graduated with a degree in accounting from the University of Akron and worked for B.F. Goodrich, retiring after 30 years. He permanently retired after a five year stint at Akron General Medical Center. He was married to Marilyn Jean Thomas for 66 years until her death in 2017.
In addition to his parents and late wife, Zane was preceded in death by his brother Donald Thomas.
He is survived by his sons Neal (Laurie), James, & Douglas (Patti); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Mary Jo Hoffman; nephews Michael & Randy & niece Bethany.
A graveside service took place at Oakwood Cemetery on June 29.
