Arlene Kidd, age 75 of Akron, Went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Hospice Care Center surrounded by her loving family. Arlene was born October 5, 1939 in Webster Springs, West Virginia to the late Claude Cleveland and Helen Ruby (Oxier) Tharp. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Franklin M. Kidd who passed in 2009. Arlene will be forever missed by her children, Randy (Sharon) Tharp, Kathy (Mark) Lewis, Tammy Smith (Fiancee' Logan Scott), Bill (Cindy) Kidd, and Michael Kidd. Grandchildren, Bruce, Angela, Mandie, Erick, Mark, Shana, Adam, John, Joseph, Brittany, Diamond, and DeeAnna; several great grandchildren. Friends may call 6-8pm on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 811 Grant Street in Akron. Pastor Kevin Burkholder will conduct the funeral service at 8pm on Monday. Donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray final expenses.
