William Phillip Zimmerman

William P. Zimmerman, 73, passed away on February 6, 2026, after fighting multiple illnesses.
Bill was born on June 4, 1952 in Knoxville, TN to the late Robert & Edith Zimmerman. He proudly served his country in the US Army, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Era. He worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority as a senior purchasing agent, working in many areas including Kentucky, Alabama, and Tennessee. He recently moved from Owensboro, KY to Akron, OH to be closer to family.
Bill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara; his children Bobby, Ann Marie, & David (Samantha); his grandchildren Orion & Selene; brother Robert & sister Marlene (Dave) Wheeler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 17, 11 am, with the family receiving friends for one hour prior at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment with full military honors will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
