William Walter Scheub

December 17, 1942 — February 8, 2023

William W. "Bill" Scheub, 80, born December 17, 1942, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away, Wednesday February 8, 2023 at Advent Transitional Hospital in Zephyrhills Florida.
A son, husband, father, grandfather, companion and friend. Bill was an OSU Alumni "GO BUCKS" and would receive his law degree, later working for the Oriana House until retirement. He was an avid dog lover and his favorite place on earth was Gem Beach on Catawba Island (Port Clinton, OH) where he would later Captain, he and Gerry's boat the "Gerbil" for many years. Many wonderful memories were made at the lake house. Bill had a very witty sense of humor, there was nothing you could get past him, and he could make anyone laugh. Bill was very organized and each day started and ended with a "To Do" list, he loved a good list. You could catch Bill tinkering around with little projects, reading, playing card games, watching football, baseball, hockey, napping and enjoying life. He loved the Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Indians (Guardians) and OSU football. He was active in St. Margaret's Guild at St. John's Episcopal Church in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio before relocating splitting his time between Zephyrhills, Florida and Nova Scotia, Canada.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Geraldine M. "Gerry" Scheub, his parents William H. and Elizabeth E. Scheub. Bill is survived by his loving family, sister Elizabeth (Beth) McClintock (OR); children William Clifford Michael Scheub "Mike" (Hollywood, SC), William David Stewart Scheub "David", Jack L. Ocker (Akron), Darlene (Gary) Benson (Tallmadge), Donald A. Ocker (Ashland), Jeffrey M. Ocker (Cuyahoga Falls) and Thomas S. Ocker (Cuyahoga Falls). He is also survived by his long-time companion Sylvia Bigelow and family (Nova Scotia, Canada). Bill is also survived by 8 grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. He was loved dearly and will be missed by many.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 17, from 4-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A Memorial service will take place on Sat, Feb. 18, 2pm, at St. John Episcopal Church 2220 Second St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Entombment will follow immediately at the All Saints Columbarium at St. John Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Bill's memory to the church. (Anthony, FALLS)
