William Christopher Kobbs

William "Bill" Christopher Kobbs, 54, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 13th, 2021.
Bill was born on March 16, 1967 in Canton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita, and siblings, Tammy and Larry Jr. He is survived by many who loved him dearly, including his wife, Emily, children, Michael, Gabby, and Katie, father, Larry, sister, Lisa (Amador), granddaughter, Vanessa, and nephew, Alex. Bill loved his family and will be deeply missed.
Bill was a member of Parkside Church in Green, and gladly served with Crossroads Prison Ministry as a Mentor. He enjoyed working as a Meat Cutter at Hartville Meat and Seafood Market. He was a graduate of the University of Akron, and took seminary classes at the Christian Leaders Institute. He served in the Marine Corps and Ohio Military Reserve.
Bill never stopped learning new things, and enjoyed reading, writing, and studying. His interests included martial arts, keyboard, guitar, and theology. He loved languages, and studied Russian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and French.
Above all, Bill trusted in Jesus Christ, and centered his life around the gospel. In one of his recent seminary papers about God's grace, he wrote: "Grace refers to unearned favor. It refers to God counting us righteous through the blood of Jesus Christ; rather than any of our own futile efforts. It refers to the gifts which God so richly gives us, that none of us deserve."
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Parkside Church in Green, 4520 Arlington Rd. Uniontown, Ohio 44685 where Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. Pastor Steve Moroney officiating. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton, Ohio.
