William Emery Burk

William Emery Burk, 74, passed gently in to God's hands on Dec. 9, 2018.
Born in Akron to the late Ralph E. & Alice (Lay) Burk, he married his lifelong sweetheart of 54 years, Carol on February 22, 1964. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber with 33 years of service, where he made many longtime friends.
In addition to his wife, Bill leaves behind son Perry (Robyn) Burk & daughter-in-law Andrea Burk; grandchildren Alec S., Hailey L., Ana G., Scott A., & Tyler M. He was also 'Papa' to Riley, Nettie, & Adeline Ferguson. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sons Scott Emery & Todd Michael.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 1pm, at the Lockwood United Methodist Church 3680 Manchester Rd., Coventry Twp., OH 44319, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to the Lockwood UM Church.
