Wendy Faye Brewer, 74, of Silver Lake, died on June 19, 2023 after a long illness. Wendy was born on May 20, 1949 to Wendley Jacob Stason and Gertrude Mary (nee Thompson) Stason. She greatly enjoyed entertaining, live music, all forms of art, was an incredible cook, and was proud of her adept palate. She was an avid reader, news junkie, gardener, and a feminist ahead of her time.

She had a long career in creative marketing. Prior to retiring from the Brady Corporation at age 60, she enjoyed many wonderful years working at Summit Racing in Akron. She enjoyed vacationing, sailing, the beach, and spending many amazing summers at Atwood Lake.

In recent years, her favorite times were spent watching cooking shows and sitting on her patio with her best friend and partner, Barry, and their cats, Mia and Lily. She was fiercely proud of her grandchildren and loved to celebrate each of them uniquely. To know Wendy was to love Wendy. She lit up a room with her smile and charmed you with her wit. She made everyone she loved feel like family.

She is survived by her beloved husband of forty-four years Barry Brewer, children, Amy Olesh and Bonnie (Rob) Gross, siblings Krista Branum, Leslie (Mark) Stuart, Carri (Chris) Nash, Vickie (Tracy) Brothers, brother-in-law KC (Connie) Brewer, and grandchildren Lauren Olesh, Courtney Olesh, Alexandra Ksenich, Tyler Gross, and Brayden Gross, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, William (Billy) Allen, siblings Penny Stason, Pat (Jon) Todd, David Stason, mother Gertrude Mary Parks, and father and mother in-law Paul and Francis Brewer.

A memorial will be held on Friday, June 23 at Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home in Stow, Ohio from 4:00-7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in memory of her only son, William (Billy) Allen.
