Weldon Vincent Emmendorfer, 91, passed away on June 20, 2023 at Sunrise of Cuyahoga Falls.
Weldon was born in Perryville, MO on December 12, 1931 to the late Vincent & Elvira Emmendorfer. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Korean Conflict. Weldon worked in sales for many different companies, retiring in 1993. Weldon was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls, where he served as an usher. Weldon enjoyed golf, woodworking, and going to yard sales.
In addition to his parents, Weldon was preceded in death by brothers Chalmer & Lloyd & sisterMerle. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, JoAnn; his five children Carol Lockstedt, Allen (Lisa), Theresa, Laura (David) Neff, & John (Michelle); grandchildren Scott & Steven Lockstedt, Derrick & Kevin Emmendorfer, Emily Taylor, Rachel & Kelly Emmendorfer, Megan Thompson, Dana Billingslea, & Brian Neff; great-grandchildren Anne, William, Aiden, Noah, J.B., Jackson, Cassia, Hanna, Aaron, Jayson, Lucas, & Alice.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 26, from 5-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 27, 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment with full military honors will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Garden in North Canton. (Anthony - FALLS)
