Wayne Shultz

Wayne Shultz, born May 2, 1954 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at the age of 72.

Wayne, or Bub as many knew him, was an engineer by trade but a family man at heart. While never able to have his own children, he spoiled his many nieces and nephews as if they were his own and loved his family well. He will be remembered for his gentle and humble spirit, intelligence, quick wit and sense of humor; his generosity that exemplified the Biblical wisdom that it is more blessed to give than to receive. His strength and resolve in the midst of many trials is an example to all that knew him.

Bub is preceded in death by his parents Daisy (Vernon Sr.) Ivey and Mike (Martha) Shultz, his brother Vernon Ivey, Jr., and Niece McKenna. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Wanda, his brother Bradley Shultz, sister-in-law Michelle Ivey, brother-in-law Carlus O'Quinn, Nieces: Kelly (Will), Nikki (Joe), Nicki (Tony), Brianna, Megan (Mike), Caitlin (Derek), & Kiera, Nephews: Kyle (Julie), Dustin, Tyler (Whitney), & Kellen, Great Nieces: Emily, Aubrey, Hannah, Haydan, Piper, and Avery, Great Nephew, Carson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Homes - Akron Chapel, 1990 S Main St in Akron, where a funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Private interment at Tallmadge Cemetery.
