Wanda Sue States

Wanda States, 59, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Hospice Care Center.
Wanda was born March 9, 1958 to Barnie and Beulah (Goff) Sells in Akron and had been an Akron resident her entire life. She was employed by Firestone Tire, Ohio Edison and, most recently, by Akron Public Schools as an Administrative Assistant for the past 16 years, retiring in 2015. She was a member of Akron Association of Classified Personnel. She was a faithful member of Mosaic Church of Wadsworth.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Robert Payne, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Larry; sister Donna (Eric) Smith; nieces and nephews Beth (Arnar) Unger, Laurel (Keith) Starling and Patrick (Tenna) Neitz; great nieces and nephews Freyja Arnarsdottir, Odinn Arnarsson amd Shawna, Tiffany and Heather Neitz.
Funeral services will be held Friday 1:00 pm at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Rd, Akron, OH 44320 where the family will receive friends from noon until time of services.
